I grew up wearing these shoes and had 3 pairs from 6th grade through high school. I remembered them being very comfortable. So, I couldn't wait to get my Stan Smiths to start playing tennis in them again. I didn't notice the snazzy labels on the back when I bought them (on woot.com), but I'm good with that. It gives them an interesting touch. What I DON'T like about them is that the tongue is as stiff as a board!The originals I used to wear had a tongue like a baby lamb's ear. Uber soft. I've played at least 7 matches in these shoes and the tongue is still as stiff as the first match, to the point where I've had to wear heavier and heavier socks so that it doesn't rub my skin off! I'm to the point now that I'm just going to cut the tongue back so it can't rub me anymore (unless the adidas responds to this with a different suggestion).Other than the tongue, they're pretty much what I remember. Classic look! They do run a bit big. I wear a size 9 and that's what I ordered. I still have about a half inch in front of my toe. Could've easily bought an 8.5.
