I’d say this is the most comfy shoe, that has stability and water resistance with the gusseted tongue that I have come across in a while. I’m going to exchange for a different color and the GTX version for more water resistance. This blue is the only thing I didn’t like in person. True to size as well. Here’s hoping they will hold up and be that one shoe so I’m not clogging up my doorway :-)Also the ankle padding is noticeable. They’ve addressed the creasing area so nothing digs into the fold when the shoe is bending. (Hope that makes sense). Vibram heel to separate from the foam. Can see a little glue in some areas. After inspecting my Nikes I can see it there. (What can ya do but expect better). The UltraBoost with continental heel has been my best experience thus far with quality for comparison sake. But no where near the element protection of these. (Two different targeted audiences)Hope this helpsI’ve run and raced trails all over the world. I live in the United States and I’ve been loving trail racing for over 10 years. In that timeframe I have tried many shoes from Solomon and other brands like Hoka, new balance, & altra. This shoe honestly is the most comfortable upper midsole and outsole than any shoe I could remember in that timeframe. Its the top for me. It’s incredibly comfortable if you just wanna walk around in it all day or a spectacular hiking shoe. The upper and tongue is incredibly comfortable and gusseted very well. The Vibram outsole is grippy lightweight sheds mud runs well on asphalt and trails of course. Honestly not much negative here, it’s a steep price at 160 but entirely worth it. I can see the shoe lasting a very long time. If I was going to race this shoe in very hot conditions I might want a slightly lighter upper material, maybe slightly more breathable, but that is really me digging for a negative. The fit is perfect for me and I have wide feet. Perfect shoe in my eyes, truly chefs kiss 9.9/10
